This session was awesome. Why? Because Muckraker brings it, hard, heavy, and loud, every single time. They are a shining example of why Salt Lake City is quickly becoming known for its stoner and doom metal scene. Bob Sutton pounds the skins with authority, Jeremy Sundeas anchors the groove with his thundering bass, and Russ Millham alternately chugs and screams on his Les Paul. And over all of this wondrous cacophony, Sundeas lays down vocals that simultaneously soar over and drive the low down, heavy groove. If you like metal – even if you don’t – watch the first video. If you do, I bet you’ll watch the second and the third, too. And then you’ll want to check them out live. Do so here at Salt Lake Recording Service tonight, June 11th, and at The Doom and Gloom Fest at Burt’s Tiki Lounge on July 22.
